Keeping my sanity.
Sometimes I confuse sarcoidosis with sarcoma and think it’s a tumor. So now whenever I ask myself what sarcoidosis is, I think:

I’ve also been having some trouble with a few drugs, so I joined efforts with my brilliant classmates, Christi (second from the left) and Tati, to craft a story behind about their lives and hardships. See below:

Fist and a Shower?
As awesome as it is that Brown has gender neutral restrooms for transgendered students, I can’t help but notice a few things:
1) These are the only bathrooms on campus with condom vending machines.
2) The condom vending machine is chained to the wall.
3) These are the only bathrooms on campus with private showers.
4) These machines dispense latex gloves.

So refreshing to talk to non-med student folk.
No biochem pathways involved in discussing preventive care and healthcare reform.
I also got to hold a tram mic.

Yes, I’ve been to Canada, Mexico, Honduras, England, France, and some random ass islands in the Caribbean.
Have a question? Shoot.

going to kill you.
seriously. watch out.
I used my geek tactics from signing up for classes via CampusWeb. See below:
1. Sign on to ticket screen informing you tickets are not yet available 5 minutes before they are scheduled to become available.
2. (Optional but recommended) Have a friend do the same. Walk him/her through selecting tickets with a dummy...

I have absolutely no motivation.
None whatsoever. August, are you here yet?

Interview Invite from HARVARD School of Medicine!
I am speechless and excited and wow.
Portland to Seattle to Newark
I hear one of these planes has propellers and serves wine. I’m excited.
BACK TO WORK TOMORROW. Boo.
I am never going to adjust to Pacific time.
And by the time I do, it’ll be time to go home. I WOKE UP AT 8AM ON A SUNDAY! That’s insane.
Landed in Portland.
I can now add Oregon to my list of states visited.
I now remember why I hate flying out oh JFK.
This place is a zoo! I never thought I’d say this, but I miss Newark!
I have three hours to pack, shave, and shower.
Oh boy.
I definitely spent a half-hour on this site. →
Why would Ambien CR have an ad on a visiting Antarctica site? Is Antarctica what keeps insomniacs from falling asleep? Or is random googling to blame?

Traffic was horrendous this morning so I stayed...
As a result of boredom, I have decided to make the following for dinner tonight:
Puerto Rican Roast Pork Shoulder (pernil)
Twice-Fried Green Plantain Chips (tostones)
Garlic Dipping Sauce for Tostones (mojito)
Rice with Pigeon Peas (arroz con gandules)
Flan
Sweet Potato Balls (as per mom’s request)
Pictures to come if everything turns out alright.
All my friends bailed on me this week.
So I’m at home baking and reading a book in my pajamas. I’ll probably be asleep by 11.
What has become of me? :(
It’s a good things I don’t like cats.

What would be your last meal?
While I was entering the Subway at Times Square this morning, I stopped in Au Bon Pain for a coffee and oatmeal (topped with raisins and a bit of granola).
Have a question? Shoot.
I just realized I read this question incorrectly. If you want to know what my last meal EVER would be, hmm, I think it’d be a four-course meal catered by Paula Deen. One of these...

Surgeons have an interesting sense of humor.
Me: Ugh, I'm never going to find these pork bones I need for my broth.
Jordan: Maybe you should call up a butcher.
Dr. Power: Or ask pathology, heh heh.
Me: Uhh...
MY FIRST QUESTION!
Would you rather kiss a llama or go to Disneyland?
I’m a Disney freak, so I’d have to opt for DISNEYLAND. However, I wouldn’t be opposed to the former. I’ll take whatever affection I can get, be it llama or drunken co-worker (Adriana).
Ask.
