Keeping my sanity.

Sometimes I confuse sarcoidosis with sarcoma and think it’s a tumor. So now whenever I ask myself what sarcoidosis is, I think:

I’ve also been having some trouble with a few drugs, so I joined efforts with my brilliant classmates, Christi (second from the left) and Tati, to craft a story behind about their lives and hardships. See below:

Diazoxide: GET OUTTA HERE diazoxide. Ya hairy hypertrich*, spreading ‘em K+ channels wide open and not even putting out**.

Ocreotide: Oh, so you think adding a ‘c’ to your name is going to hide the oreo that you really are? Who are you kidding?! As hard as you may try, you’ll never be a somatostatin. You’ll just be that generic drug from the projects***.

Fist and a Shower?

As awesome as it is that Brown has gender neutral restrooms for transgendered students, I can’t help but notice a few things:

1) These are the only bathrooms on campus with condom vending machines.

2) The condom vending machine is chained to the wall.

3) These are the only bathrooms on campus with private showers.

4) These machines dispense latex gloves.

Many people  don’t realize that heart strings really exist. This is the inside of a heart, and those strings are called Chordae Tendineae.  Wittle biology lesson

and chordae tendineae attach to papillary muscles in both ventricles and also right parietal, septal, and angular valvules (right AV valve) and the left parietal and septal valvules (left AV valve). and each of the papillary muscles has a name. and i know them all. but i’m not gonna be a tool and list them on tumblr right now.
look it up in Budras’ Anatomy of the Dog.
also, no idea how this picture was generated, but that’s exactly what they look like.
oh and those ridges on the sides of the walls? they’re called trabeculae carneae in the ventricles and pectinate muscles in the atria.

photoshopped da vinci/robotic assist perhaps?
this almost makes me want to consider surgery as a career. almost.
